This assignment demonstrates simple collaboration using a database that is shared on the Internet.
Add your name and email address to the class roster database.
Double-check your entry -- test the email address. When it is correct, print the roster, highlight your name and turn it in.
Note that this application allowed us to distribute the work of creating our class roster. Before networks, someone would have had to key in all the data. Using the network application, we can share the work -- each keying in one record.
The Internet is a collaboration tool.
What is another example of a network application in which many people collaborate to create a shared database? You can either invent an application you would like to see or give an example of one already on the Internet. Print and turn in a brief description of your example.
